June 5, 2017 Sponsor a Screening THIS POST: $25000 Needed Donation While infrastructure is limited, there are actions that the Nigerian community can take right now to stop the rise of breast cancer and decrease morbidity and mortality, in our women. AVODA/BCASPA (Aid for Victims of Diseases in Africa/Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening Program Africa) is determined to take the first step.
BCASPA has partnered up with several organizations to fund the free screening of 1000 women. However we would like to do more. We would like your help to sponsor a free screening for a woman in any of the African countries. The cost of a screening is approximately $20 USD for the procedure. The procedure is about 30 minutes in total and very easy to complete. With your help we can make an impact to more women and change more futures.
The screening process will begin on the first of October 2017 and proceed through the 31st of October.Depending on Budget, the first 500-1000 registrants will be screened at no additional charge courtesy of B-CASPA, but others will be encouraged to get screened at their own cost or be encouraged to register early for the following year. Overall this exercise will serve as a beginning stage of creating awareness of the disease. All screened individuals will receive a pink ribbon and a form indicating date and time screening was performed. This whole process will be repeated on an annual basis.
